Fellowship Program Compensation & Benefits

The Pediatric Hematology Oncology department at Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland offers an excellent package of health, vision, and dental insurance to our fellows. Additional benefits include a pension plan, short and long term disability and life insurance.

Fellows receive 4 weeks of paid vacation each year in addition to one week of paid educational leave and Infant Bonding leave. Fellows will receive housing and food stipends in addition to a salary competitive with Bay Area programs.

Fellowship Employment Manual

In accordance with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and the American Board of Pediatrics, the Fellowship Employment Manual delineates the clinical and research responsibilities of the fellows as well as the terms and conditions of employment and benefits. The clinical and research curricula and educational program are also included in the manual.
