Planners expect learners to: 
1. Recognize the clinical features of fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD), including the range of neurodevelopmental, behavioral, and physical manifestations, and understand that many affected individuals do not have characteristic facial features.
2. Apply evidence-based approaches to screening for prenatal alcohol exposure, evaluating children with suspected FASD, and identifying appropriate diagnostic and referral pathways. 3. Develop individualized, multidisciplinary management plans for children with FASD that incorporate medical care, behavioral and developmental interventions, educational supports, and family-centered resources.
