Planners expect learners to:

1. Identify key components of early lactation, including colostrum production, infant feeding cues, and normal feeding patterns in the first weeks of life.
2. Demonstrate effective counseling techniques to support parent-infant breastfeeding success in a community setting.
3. Explain the role of culturally grounded lactation support and how peer counselors can address barriers to breastfeeding in underserved communities.
