Planners expect learners to:
1. Describe the difference between transaminases and liver function labs.
2. List a broad differential for elevated liver enzymes, considering the age of the child.
3. Demonstrate proficiency in initial work-up of elevated liver enzymes.
4. Identify barriers to longitudinal care of patients with elevated transaminases.
5. Identify when to refer a patient to pediatric GI/hepatology.
