Planners expect learners to:
1. Recognize the clinical features that should raise concern for pediatric autoimmune encephalitis.
2. Describe the initial diagnostic workup, including MRI, EEG, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) studies, and antibody testing.
3. Review current treatment approaches, including first-line and second-line immunotherapy, and when to involve neurology urgently.
