1. Identifying the situations and disease processes that warrant evaluation by an otolaryngologist.
2. Determining when surgical management may be better for pediatric patients when managing thyroid disease.
3. Recognizing how socioeconomic differences may create difficulties in diagnosing and managing pediatric thyroid. diseases.
