Residency Program
- The Pediatric Residency Program includes 81 residents and four chief residents from over 40 different US medical schools. Over 350 additional residents rotate through Children's each year from nearby training programs in Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Surgery, Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Dentistry, Anesthesia, Radiology and more.

Medical Student Program
Each year, Children's Hospital Oakland provides training in pediatrics to over 100 medical students from medical schools throughout the United States. We also serve as a core pediatric training site for 3rd year students from UCSF School of Medicine.

Subspecialty Fellowships
Our fully accredited pediatric fellowships offer outstanding post-graduate training in the following subspecialties (almost 100 additional subspecialty fellows also rotate from nearby institutions) :
Psychology Training Programs (Internships and Fellowships)
Children's offers psychology training in five specialized mental health programs, serving children with a wide range of psychiatric, medical and developmental disorders.

UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Sports Medicine offers a post-professional sports physical therapy residency program to prepare therapists to provide advanced physical therapy to athletes in a clinical setting and on the field.
