CHORI Summer Student Research Program
The Summer Student Research Program provides summer research opportunities for under-represented undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, graduate, high school, and medical students, and students studying to be health professionals. Undergraduates should have successfully completed at least one undergraduate year at an accredited school or university (including baccalaureate schools of nursing), or those attending community or junior colleges provided they are enrolled in at least three courses per academic term. Health professional students who have successfully completed one semester at a school of medicine, osteopathy, pharmacy, or public health are also eligible. High school juniors or seniors, with at least one year in math and biology are eligible to apply.
One of the goals of the program is to identify students from under-represented groups with the potential to pursue careers in biomedical, clinical and bio-behavioral research and providing training in a friendly and nurturing environment at Children's Hospital Oakland.
